Log In 636 Log In Public Site Troop Web Site Welcome to BSA Troop 636, Alpine District, Chief Seattle Council. Welcome to Troop 636! We are delighted that you are interested in joining our troop. Joining a new group can be an overwhelming experience for anyone, and often it takes a few weeks before you feel like you really belong. You are important to us, and we want you to feel welcome. Troop 636 was established in 1974, one of the oldest Troops in the area. We are a mid-sized troop with an array of scout-related activities including a variety of local and High Adventure outings, Summer Camp, Advancement and Merit Badge classes. The Scouts of Troop 636 camp year round, they go on high adventure trips such as canoeing, backpacking, hiking, and whitewater rafting; but most of all, they have FUN – and we have been doing it for over 40 years! Troop 636 has a long history of community service through our regular service projects, Eagle Scout projects, our work with community non-profits and the City of Issaquah. We provide cheerful service and develop Servant Leaders who make a difference in the wonderful place we live. We are open to all boys regardless of economic or social status, race or creed; we take pride in the diverse backgrounds of our Scouts. We are a member of the Alpine District of the Chief Seattle Council of Boy Scouts of America. Our council office and scout store is located on Rainer Ave in Seattle, and The Grange in Issaquah also offers some limited scouting gear. The council has an excellent web site, and we encourage you to visit it for information on scouting, forms, and to sign up for the eTotem on-line newsletter.
